Spring is finally upon us, which can only mean one thing... It's time to put away the heavy coats and sweaters and play with new clothes, looks and trends! If I pretty much live in denim and white tees all year around, I also do also like playing around with new styles every now and then. And these are the five S/S19 trends I'm looking forward to trying this month :
BIKER SHORTS
90s activewear, but make it fashion and we're all here for it. It's fresh, fun and oh so comfortable. They're also super easy to dress up or down, depending on how you feel that day. My favourite way to wear mine is with an oversized blazer and some chunky dad sneakers during the day or barely-there sandals in the evening.
HAIR ACCESSORIES
From scrunchies to hairbands, barrettes and even hair scarves, they're all making a comeback, this season. It's a simple way to add a bit of fun to an otherwise rather plain outfit and if you know me, you know I'm all about jeans and t-shirts so these are the sort of trends I love to play with. Especially since I'm currently in Korea, where cute hair accessories are aplenty. Seriously, they are EVERYWHERE!
SUITING
Tailoring has never really gone out of style per se, but it sure made a huge comeback on and off the catwalk, this season. Or at least, tailoring with a twist did. Think belted blazers, almost grotesquely oversized shapes, fun colors and giant 80s shoulder pads. And if, like many of us, you're trying to be more sustainable with your fashion choices these days, it's also an easy trend to thrift.
JUICY LIME
Whether you go for a sportswear look like we've seen with Off White or a more tailored approach, lime green is without a doubt this season's hottest colour. Lighter skin tones might have to shop around to find the right shade and go for a more muted, pastel green instead of the bright, highlighter shades, but it's definitely a fun trend to play with. In fact, I'm actually wearing lime green as I'm writing this!
ALL BEIGE EVERYTHING
Monochromatic outfits have been a thing all throughout winter, but this spring is all about beige. And as long as you find the right shade of beige, you can pretty much make this trend work for you and your lifestyle. I'm personally looking forward to playing around with shapes, textures and layering but you could also go for a simple linen suit. As long as it's beige, you're good.
What are your favourite S/S19 trends? Will you give any of these a go? x
